No stop to Vintners Village is complete without learning about Washington wines at the Walter Clore Wine & Culinary Center, named after the Father of Washington wine himself. The late Dr. Walter J. Clore spent his life’s work studying vinifera grapes and their potential in Washington. The result was some exquisite vinos that can be sampled at this exciting wine-tasting and educational destination. You’ll learn all he discovered, and then some, as the center brings together industry and consumers to explore the culture, history and unique growing regions that beget Washington’s exceptional wines.

Each month the center premieres a new selection of wines of a specific Washington AVA, acquainting visitors with its unique growing characteristics before sampling its flavors. In addition, guests are welcome to explore the wine shop that offers old favorites, boutique gems, and wines that may not be available elsewhere. Wine and food enthusiasts can also enjoy Clore’s exclusive monthly blind tasting, culinary programs ranging from food and wine pairings to tapas demonstrations, and even hands-on sushi classes. The Core Center is also happy to host many parties, weddings, meetings, and events with two venues on the property and flexible indoor and outdoor spaces.

Explore Wineries at Vintners Village

It is all about the wine walk at Vintners Village as you explore the multitude of wineries within walking distance of each other within the quaint village square. Known as the Winemakers Loft, this collection of centrally located tasting rooms provides the perfect opportunity to venture door-to-door as you explore the many tastes and flavors of Washington wine country.

Stop by Airfield Estates to discover one of the oldest grape-growing farms in the region for those historical roots as four generations have been lovingly tending the land at the family farm in the heart of the Yakima Valley to produce some excellent reds and whites. Next, head over to Bunnell Family Cellar, where it’s always wine o’clock. Specializing in crafting perfect small-lot wines that have garnered several awards, your taste buds will thank you for the visit, as their food and wine pairings are like no other.
