Gallery at the Park
89 Lee Blvd., Richland
509.943.9815
Since 1948, the Allied Arts Association has been dedicated to showcasing local artists, promoting art education, and sharing art with the community at their Gallery at the Park location. Rotating monthly exhibits from some of the best artists in the Pacific Northwest can be found at the gallery. The gift gallery is also full of paintings, pottery, glass, metal, wood, jewelry, photography, and many more locally created masterpieces from over 200 artists you can take home and decorate your home’s walls with.
Those looking to express their own creativity can even stop in and enjoy one of the gallery’s adult workshops, such as creating Fused Glass Ornaments with Paula Bashforth or Painting Wine Glasses with Lisa Day. Kids can even get in on the action during the summer when the gallery hosts children’s workshops to give the kiddos a creative outlet when school is out for the season.
DrewBoy Creative
1384 Jadwin Ave., Richland
509.619.4116
DrewBoy Creative is on a mission to improve the world we live in through art and creativity. Founder Davin Diaz created the gallery in memory of his brother Andrew William Diaz who passed away at the age of 31 in 2014. Realizing just how short life really is, Davin was inspired to follow his dreams and create an organization dedicated to improving the world through art after the loss of his brother.
To accomplish the gallery’s mission, Davin prioritizes shows and activities that promote art from individuals who are emerging artists, people of diverse and marginalized backgrounds, or artists that challenge the traditional school of thought related to art. By being so selective with its artists, the gallery has created a mentally, physically, and spiritually stimulating gallery that inspires the mind and captures the imagination as you wander the halls. Besides hosting amazing exhibits, they also frequently host juried shows, art fairs, film festivals, and other community events, during which they pride themselves on giving art seekers nothing but the best gallery experience.
Esvelt Gallery
2600 N 20th Ave., Pasco
509.542.4864
Admission is free, and the public is welcome to explore the Esvelt Gallery at the Columbia Basin College Arts Center. The permanent collection of works at the studio is part of a portable collection, meaning the artwork is available on a loan basis to the campus community. Currently, the collection consists of over 200 masterful works with pieces that have either been purchased or donated by the college, community members, or local businesses.
The gallery works hard to bring in art from visiting artists, faculty, and students through sponsorship from the Associated Students of Columbia Basin College (ASCBC) and the college’s art department. This has allowed the gallery, nestled within the campus, to provide an artistic experience through various exhibitions, artist lectures, workshops, and demonstrations, all of which are always open to the student body and the public for those looking to immerse themselves in the world of art.
So, the next time you’re out and about taking in the beauty of the Tri-Cities community and find yourself inspired, stop in at any of these fantastic local art galleries to immerse yourself in the world of art.
